The government of West Bengal has started Employment Bank, the job search portal for unemployed job seekers. Unemployed candidates can register on this website with their details information and may receive jobs, on the basis of their qualifications. Employment Bank is an online version of the Employment Exchange. Job creation will foster economic growth in the state. Under WB Yuvashree Arpan Yojana, entrepreneurship is encouraged to contribute to job creation.

Hon’ble Chief Minister West Bengal Mamata Banerjee announced on March 6th a new program “Yuvashree Arpan Yojana,” under which 50,000 young people will receive financial support of Rs 1 lakh to start businesses in the state. Under the program, young people interested in starting their own business will receive financial support from the state government. The main objective of Yuvasree Arpan Yojana is to make young people independent and to create employment opportunities for the unemployed.

• WB Yuvashree Arpan Yojana was launched by the Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee on 6th March 2019.

WB Yuvasree Prakalpa Eligibility Criteria

In the WB Yuvasree Arpan Prakalpa Scheme 2021, the government of WB has stated and announced financial support to scholarship holders, and we can say that applicants for unemployment benefits can apply according to the relevant criteria.

• A candidate must be a permanent resident of West Bengal state.
• Applicant must be unemployed.
• Applicant should be enrolled with the Employment Bank as a ‘job seeker’.
• Applicant should pass the 8th class and above.
• Only those youths who are further interested in opening a new business and have new ideas to create self-employment for themselves and also employment opportunities for others.
• Applicant should not avail any financial assistance under state government related to the self-employed scheme.
• The applicant should not have been punished for any criminal offense.
• Only one member of a family will get financial assistance under this scheme.
• Applicant should be between 18-45 years of age on the 1st day of April of the year in which he/she is considered under the scheme.

• Click on the “New Enrollment Job Seeker” button, and then the terms and conditions for registering will be displayed.

• Click on the “Accept and Continue” option.
