Eligibility Criteria for Applicants

Educational Qualifications

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) or a Master of Law (LL.M.) from a recognized university. Proper educational documentation must be submitted during the application process.

  • District Government Pleader: Minimum of 10 years of active practice as an advocate in any court within DNH&DD.

Selection Process

The selection process involves a combination of panel preparation by the District Magistrate, interviews, and recommendations:

  1. District Government Pleader: Selection from a panel of advocates prepared by the District Magistrate after consultations with the District and Sessions Judge. Candidates will undergo interviews. Final appointment depends on the recommendations of the UT Administration.
  2. Additional Government Pleader/Assistant Public Prosecutor/Public Prosecutor: The appointment is based solely on interviews conducted by the UT Administration-appointed Interview Board.

Important Instructions for Candidates

  • No TA/DA will be provided for attending interviews.
