Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university established by law in India or an equivalent qualification recognized by relevant authorities.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in English shorthand and typewriting is required. The minimum speed should be:

  • English typing: 40 words per minute (approximately 12,000 key depressions per hour)
  • English shorthand dictation: 100 words per minute

Desirable Skills

Salary Structure

Recruitment and Selection Process

The selection process comprises multiple stages designed to assess candidate skills comprehensively.

Stage 1: Typing Test (Mandatory & Qualifying)

English typing at a minimum speed of 40 words per minute. Candidates not meeting this requirement will be disqualified.

Stage 2: Shorthand Test

  • Speed: 100 words per minute in English
  • Maximum Marks: 120
  • Dictation Duration: 7 minutes
  • Transcription Time: 45 minutes (excluding 10 minutes for reading notes)
  • Maximum Allowed Mistakes: 7% (49 mistakes out of 700 words)
  • Marking: Deduction for mistakes—full mistake (1 mark), half mistake (0.5 mark)
