Post 1: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Eligibility Criteria Detailed

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, or equivalent, or a Master’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Science, or an MBA from a recognized university. Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in managerial roles within the IT industry or startup ecosystems, with significant contributions to incubation and entrepreneurship development initiatives.

Incubation Manager

The ideal candidate should hold a recognized undergraduate degree, with preference given to those having postgraduate management qualifications. A minimum of 5 years’ experience is required, with at least 3 years focused on incubation management and ecosystem development, including establishing strong stakeholder relationships.

Technology Specialist

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, with 4 to 6 years’ experience in IoT technologies, particularly in applications for energy, water, or environmental sectors. Advanced degrees are considered a plus.

Selection Process

The selection process involves the following stages:

  1. Application Screening: All received applications will be screened by a dedicated Screening Committee to verify eligibility based on qualifications and experience.
  2. Shortlisting: Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be shortlisted for interviews.
  3. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview conducted by the Search-cum-Selection Committee or designated Selection Committee.
  4. Final Recommendation: The Committee will recommend candidates based on merit and suitability for the roles, in order of merit.

Please note that inclusion in the shortlist does not guarantee interview calls, and the final decision rests with the appointing authority.

Important Instructions

  • The COO will report to the STPI Jurisdictional Director. The Incubation Manager will report to the COO or the Jurisdictional Director as decided. The Technology Specialist’s reporting authority will depend on organizational requirements.

  • Experience will be calculated after attaining the minimum educational qualification.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews; no TA/DA will be paid.
