Selection Procedure
The selection process involves initial screening through a written MCQ test in cases where the number of applicants exceeds five times the vacancy. Shortlisted candidates based on merit will be called for a personal interview.

Terms and Conditions of Appointment
The appointments are purely contractual, initially for 11 months for Laboratory Assistants and for 6 months (with extension possibility) for Research and Field Investigators, based on performance.
Selected candidates must submit all original documents for verification and produce a “No Objection Certificate” if they are currently employed in government or autonomous medical institutions.
Salary will be paid in consolidated form, subject to applicable taxes, and no travel or daily allowances will be provided.
The posts are non-permanent, and services can be terminated with a one-month notice by either party. Resigning employees must refund the salary received if they leave before completing one month of service.
During tenure, candidates will work under the administrative control of SMIMER and shall adhere to the institute’s rules and regulations. They will not be entitled to any government benefits such as medical aid or bonuses.
The work might require travel outside Surat and overnight stays, especially for research-related activities.
In case of any disputes regarding service conditions, the decision of the Dean, SMIMER, will be final and binding, under Surat city jurisdiction.
