Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

Candidates should possess either a PG Diploma / Degree in Journalism, Mass Media, or a Graduate degree with a minimum of 2 years of journalistic experience.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based on an interview, which will assess their qualifications, professional experience, knowledge of the district and state, awareness of current affairs, understanding of welfare schemes conducted by the Central Government, acquaintance with radio news, journalistic skills, writing ability, and familiarity with communication technologies.

Selection Monitoring and Contract Details

Upon initial engagement, the candidate’s work performance will be evaluated over a three-month period. The work will be monitored and certified by the RNU Head. If performance is satisfactory, the contract may be renewed on a monthly basis, and subsequently extended to a yearly contract until the candidate attains the age of 60 years.
