Selection Process & Examination Stages

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination

Details: Objective type test of 150 marks in General English, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude, lasting 2 hours.

  • Negative Marking: 0.5 marks for each wrong answer
  • Qualifying Criteria: 33% for SC/ST, 40% for other categories

Stage 2: Main Written Examination

Merit List & Final Selection

The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined scores of the Main Written Examination and Viva-Voce. In case of a tie, preference will be given to candidates with higher marks in the main exam, then to older candidates. The Chief Justice of Orissa High Court retains the discretion to modify qualifying marks based on the number of qualified candidates and vacancy requirements.
