Eligibility Criteria

Essential Educational Qualifications

Candidates must possess at least one of the following degrees from a recognized university or institute:

  • B.E., B.Tech, M.E., M.Tech, or M.S. in Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • Alternatively, in Nanotechnology

Candidates should have secured a minimum of 65% marks or an equivalent CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 in their qualifying degree.

Nationality

Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for this position.

Desirable Qualifications

Applicants with the following experience will be preferred:

  • Experience with Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD)
  • Experience in Sputtering techniques
  • Knowledge of Oblique/Glancing Angle Deposition (OAD)
  • Sensor design and development experience

Job Description and Responsibilities

The selected Research Assistant will be involved in various research and development activities, including but not limited to:

Primary Tasks

  • Fabrication of sensors using GLAD (Glancing Angle Deposition) techniques
  • Development of Multi-Gas Sensor Array integrated with microheaters
  • Research on applications relevant to mining safety systems
  • Experimental work in nanotechnology and materials science
  • Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) and sputtering processes
  • Characterization and testing of sensors
  • Collaboration with team members on research activities
  • Documentation and presentation of research findings

This role requires keen experimental work, innovative thinking, and effective communication of results within the research team.
