Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

The candidate must possess full-time B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Science & Engineering, or Renewable Energy, along with full-time M.Tech / M.E. in similar or related disciplines from a recognized institute or university. Candidates should have at least 60% marks or a minimum CPI/CGPA of 6.5/10. Preference will be given to candidates with GATE scores and those who have published research papers in indexed journals such as Scopus, SCI, SCIe, SJR, or Web of Science, particularly on Solar Energy.

Desirable Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience working on Solar Energy, Renewable Energy, or related projects in National Labs, Academic Institutions, or Industry.
  • Knowledge of simulation software such as COMSOL Multiphysics, Ansys for Photovoltaic Thermal Management, 3D Heat Transfer Modeling.
  • Familiarity with solar cell cooling techniques, heat transfer analysis of photovoltaic panels, and testing methodologies.
  • Research publication experience in SCI/SCIE/Scopus indexed journals.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and technical writing skills for journal publication.
  • Qualification in GATE, CSIR-UGC NET, or similar national eligibility tests is preferred.

Salary Structure and Remuneration

The selected candidate will receive a stipend based on their qualification and selection through national eligibility tests:

Selection Process

Interview

The selection will be primarily based on an interview, which evaluates technical competencies, research experience, and suitability for the project. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email and must bring their original documents for verification.

This position is purely temporary and contractual. The appointment can be terminated at any time without assigning any reason. The appointment is subject to rules governing Research & Consultancy at NIT Kurukshetra. Candidates must fulfill eligibility requirements before attending the interview. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview or joining. The selected candidates must join immediately within a stipulated period.

Project duration extends up to July 14, 2028, and the position is co-terminus with the project. Performance-based extension is possible.
