Job Responsibilities and Work Details

Project Attender / Support Staff

The role involves field-based support for research activities, particularly pertaining to pregnant women in community and institutional settings. Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in early-morning project activities involving pregnant women
  • Cleaning and preparing assessment and data collection areas
  • assisting with logistical support during biological sample collection
  • Transporting biological samples safely to designated laboratories, adhering to protocols
  • Ensuring hygienic handling of project materials and equipment
  • Facilitating participant visits and project coordination
  • Supporting other project-related tasks as assigned by the research team

Project Coordinator

The coordinator will oversee study activities, including administrative tasks, logistics, and data management. Specific duties include:

  • Scheduling appointments and coordinating participant visits
  • Arranging transportation and logistics
  • Maintaining project records, accounts (on Sfacts and Excel)
  • Preparing brief reports and data entry
  • Managing project documentation and inventories
  • Serving as liaison between participants and research team for smooth project implementation

Selection Process and Walk-in Details

Candidates need to attend the walk-in interview on:

Selection Methodology

  1. Registration: Candidates must register 30 minutes prior to exam start (by 10:00 AM). Bring all relevant original documents and a typed resume.
  2. Written Test: An objective, OMR-based examination to assess basic knowledge and aptitude.
  3. Qualifying Score: Minimum 50% required to qualify for next steps.
  4. Skill Test/Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo skill assessment and personal interview.
  5. Final Selection: Based on overall performance and merit.

No TA/DA will be provided for attending the examination or interview. Candidates currently employed in NIMHANS projects must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their Principal Investigator.
