Eligibility Criteria for Candidates

Educational Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or MSc in Psychology from a recognized university or institute. These qualifications are essential to ensure candidates have the background necessary for the responsibilities of the position.

Selection Process

Remuneration and Contract Details

Salary

The selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly salary of Rs. 25,000/-.

Contract Duration

  • Initial appointment for six months.
  • Extension every six months based on performance and project needs.
  • Possibility of continuation till the end of the 1-year project.

Job Responsibilities and Work Nature

The selected Field Officer will work on the project titled “Youth Mental Health and Self-Harm Study (YASHAS)” funded by the Indira Foundation. The role encompasses emergency intervention for cases involving suicide attempts and self-harm, conducting telephone follow-ups, and maintaining data records.

Key Responsibilities
Emergency intervention for suicide and self-harm cases.
Conducting follow-up calls via telephone for study participants.
Data entry and management in spreadsheets and datasets.
Attending to general hospitals across Karnataka for study-related work.

  • No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview or written/skill test.
  • Candidates must possess a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer if involved in other projects at NIMHANS.
