Eligibility Criteria

Professor (Epidemiology) – Medical

The candidate must meet the following essential qualifications:

  • Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part II of the third schedule (excluding licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Candidates holding qualifications in part II of the third schedule must also satisfy section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  • Possession of MD in Community Health Administration (CHA), PSM, Community Medicine, or equivalent recognized by the NMC (formerly MCI).
  • Minimum eight years of post postgraduate teaching experience in a recognized or approved Medical College or Institution, including at least three years as Associate Professor in the relevant subject.
  • At least four research publications, with two as Associate Professor, published in indexed journals such as Medline, PubMed, Science Citation Index, Embase, Scopus, or Directory of Open Access Journals (DoAJ).
  • Completion of Basic Medical Education Technology course and Basic Biomedical Research course from institutions designated by NMC.

Desirable: Administrative experience of three years, field experience in health and family welfare, and epidemiological research experience.

Reader (Community Health Administration)

The candidate must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Medical qualification as per Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (first or second schedule, excluding licentiate).
  • Postgraduate degree (MD) in CHA, PSM, Community Medicine, or equivalent from a recognized university/institute.
  • Minimum five years of teaching experience as Lecturer or Assistant Professor in a recognized Medical College or Institute.
