Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
The candidate should hold:
- PhD degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Processing, Process and Food Engineering, Food Science & Technology, or a relevant Basic Science related to Food Science & Technology.
- First Class Masters’ Degree (minimum 60%) in the above disciplines in case of candidates with only a Master’s qualification.
Experience Requirements
Candidates must meet either of the following eligibility conditions:
Option A
- An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. degree in the relevant or allied discipline.
- Proven high-quality published work, including a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
- Research score of at least 120 as per the criteria specified in Appendix II, Table 2.
- Minimum of ten years of teaching experience at the university/college level (as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor), or research experience at equivalent levels in university or national institutions, including successful supervision of doctoral candidates.
Option B
- Outstanding professional with a Ph.D. in relevant or applied disciplines.
- Significant contribution to knowledge in the relevant field supported by documentation.
- Minimum of ten years of professional experience, including industry roles.
Salary and Pay Scale
The selected candidate will be offered a salary in the pay level 14 of the 7th Pay Commission, which ranges from Rs. 1,44,200 to Rs. 2,18,200 per month.
