Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have successfully passed the Matriculation examination from a recognized Board to be eligible for this recruitment process.

Domicile Requirement

Applicants must be domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. A valid Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority on or before 17th February 2026 is mandatory.

Selection Process

Stage 1: Written Examination

Candidates will undergo an objective type multiple-choice question (MCQ) exam in English. The exam covers general knowledge, reasoning, numerical ability, and current affairs relevant to the police service.

  • Negative Marking: Each wrong answer will attract a penalty of one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question.
  • NCC Bonus: Candidates possessing NCC certificates will be awarded bonus marks—5% for NCC “C” Certificate holders, 3% for “B” certificates, and 2% for “A” certificates.

Stage 2: Physical Standard Test (PST)
