Due to Covid 19, a large number of workers of Jharkhand have returned to the state from other states of the country. In this situation, they are facing self and family earning, maintenance, and other financial difficulties. With the aim of providing employment to the unemployed villagers living in urban areas due to the lockdown imposed during Corona, the Jharkhand Government has started this Yojana. Jharkhand Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren Ji has started Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Shramik Rozgar Yojana through video conferencing on 15 August 2020 to improve the economic system of laborers in Jharkhand.

• According to this scheme, the benefit of employment will be provided to the migrant workers who have returned to the urban areas of Jharkhand.
• Along with this, the laborers who will not be able to get employment through this scheme will be given an unemployment allowance.
• According to the state government, it is taking the responsibility of providing 100 days of employment to skilled laborers in urban areas.
• In this scheme, only those migrant laborers will be kept who have started living in Jharkhand state after coming from different states before 1st April 2015.
• According to the scheme, laborers will be given at least one-fourth of the wages as an allowance in the first month. After 60 days, half the wages will be given to him. Then after the completion of 100 days, full 100 days’ wages will be provided to the worker as allowance.
