Selection Process
For Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’
The selection comprises a written test followed by an interview. The written test assesses theoretical and practical knowledge related to the prescribed curriculum. Shortlisting for interviews occurs in a 1:5 ratio, with a minimum of 10 candidates per category. The final merit list combines 50% weightage from the written test and 50% from the interview.
For Technical and Scientific Posts (Assistant, Technician, Draughtsman, etc.)
Selection involves a written test examining theoretical and practical skills, followed by a skill test. Shortlisting for the skill test is determined by written exam performance. The skill test is conducted on a ‘go/no-go’ basis, and marks in this are not counted for merit. Final selection is based on written test scores among those who qualify the skill test.
For Nurse ‘B’, Radiographer-A & Cook
Selection involves a written test and a skill test. The skill test is evaluative on a ‘go/no-go’ basis, excluding marks from final merit. The final selection depends on written test scores of candidates clearing the skill test.
For Firemen ‘A’
Selection involves written tests, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Medical Examination. The PET is a ‘go/no-go’ test, with qualifying candidates subjected to medical assessment. Final selection is based on the written test score, after clearing PET and DME, with merit sorted by marks and academic scores in case of tie.
For Light Vehicle Driver ‘A’
Select through a written test and a skill test, with the latter being ‘go/no-go’. Marks in skill test do not influence the merit list, which is finalized based on written exam results of qualified candidates.
