Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a B.E./B.Tech degree in the notified engineering streams from recognized universities or institutions recognized by Indian law. The minimum qualification criteria are as follows:

  • Essential Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in notified streams.
  • Final Year Students: Candidates in the final year of their engineering degree are eligible but must submit proof of passing the degree and all semester marksheets by 01 October 2026, and produce the final degree certificate within 12 weeks of training commencement.
  • Note for Final Year Students: Candidates with exams scheduled after 01 October 2026 are not eligible to apply.

Eligibility for Widows of Defence Personnel

  • SSCW (Tech): BE/B.Tech in any engineering stream.
  • SSCW (Non-Tech): Graduation in any discipline.

Nationality

Applicants must be citizens of India or subjects of Nepal. Additionally, candidates of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries and have settled in India with proof are eligible, except those with foreign degrees.

Marital Status

  • Only unmarried female candidates are eligible.
  • Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who died in service are eligible, provided they have not remarried.

Physical Standards

Candidates must meet the following physical standards:

  • 2.4 km Run: 13 minutes
  • Push-Ups: 15
  • Pull-Ups: 02
  • Sit-Ups: 25
  • Squats: Two sets of 30 repetitions
  • Lunges: Two sets of 10 repetitions
  • Swimming: Fundamentals of swimming knowledge required

Age Limit

  • For General Candidates: 20 to 27 years (Born between 01 October 1999 to 30 September 2006).
  • For Widows of Defense Personnel: Up to 35 years as on 01 October 2026.

Salary and Allowances

During Training
