Eligibility Criteria for Principal Project Scientist
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Physics or an equivalent degree with the following criteria:
- Minimum 75% marks or 7.5 CGPA during the Ph.D. (graduate) coursework
- Above 6.5 CGPA during M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech./M.E/M.Tech. coursework
- Candidates who have submitted or defended their Ph.D. thesis and are awaiting final degree are also eligible to apply
Age Limit
The candidate should not be more than 36 years old at the time of application. Age relaxation may be applicable as per government norms for reserved categories.
Experience and Research Background
Applicants must have demonstrated research experience in areas such as:
- At least 2 years at RA II / RA III level, or
- 2 years at RA I level and 1 year at RA II level, or
- 3 years at RA I level

- Published at least two original research papers in SCI-indexed or peer-reviewed journals; preference will be given to those with additional publications
- Hands-on experience in experimental optics, atomic and molecular physics
