The recruitment is for three (3) posts, namely: One (1) Project Coordinator and two (2) Junior Research Fellows, each with specific roles and qualifications.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Project Coordinator

Educational Qualification: Masters in Technology (M.Tech), Engineering, or Sciences.

Experience & Skills:

  • Monitoring progress of research projects.
  • Experience liaising with project funding agencies.
  • Coordination with SPOKE Institutes, documentation, and project database management.
  • Proficiency in documentation and reporting software such as MS Office, Canva, etc.

Desirable: NET/GATE qualified candidates and those with experience working in government-funded institutions.

2. Junior Research Fellow (a)

Educational Qualification: First-class M.Tech in Engineering or equivalent from a reputed institute.

Additional Skills & Knowledge:

  • Experience in building and deploying AI applications for textiles.
  • Understanding of computer vision, Large Language Models (LLMs), and web integration.
  • Knowledge of libraries such as PyTorch, Ultralytics, LangChain, StreamLit.
  • Familiarity with training optimization, quantization techniques.

Desirable: Basic knowledge of handloom and power-loom manufacturing processes; hands-on experience with Android Studio.

3. Junior Research Fellow (b)

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Textiles with NET/GATE.

Additional Skills & Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of handloom fabric structures.
  • Experience in mechanical characterization/testing of yarns and fabrics.
  • Documentation of heritage textiles.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office.

Note: Candidates must be willing to travel across India for data collection, on a monthly basis.

Applicants with CGPA over 8.00 (80%) from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) may receive relaxation in NET/GATE requirements.

Salary and Stipend Structure
