Eligibility Criteria

Educational & Experience Requirements for Fabrication Assistants

Sheet Metal Worker

Qualification: Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC in Sheet Metal Worker trade.
Experience: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience/training in fabrication, including cutting, fit-up, and welding processes.

Welder

Qualification: Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC in Welder/Welder (Gas & Electric).
Experience: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience/training in the relevant welding trade.

Educational & Experience Requirements for Outfit Assistants

All Trades

Qualification: Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC in the respective trade.
Experience: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience/training in the relevant trade.

Additional Notes on Experience

Experience acquired after passing the stipulated qualification shall only be considered. The period of completed Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act 1961 and any remunerated training will be counted as experience but not for monthly remuneration fixation. Experience should be reckoned as of 07 February 2026.

The selection process involves a Practical Test carrying 100 marks, which assesses the candidates on relevant trade skills and aptitude.

General Instructions and Important Information

  • The appointment is contractual for a maximum of five years, subject to project requirements and performance.
  • Posting may be anywhere in CSL or its project sites across India and abroad, with transfers as needed.
  • The minimum educational qualification must be from a recognized institute or examining authority.
  • Candidates with equivalent qualifications must submit an Equivalence Certificate issued by the appropriate authority.
  • Reservation for PwBD is as per Government of India guidelines, requiring a minimum 40% disability.
