Eligibility Criteria for Assistant Civil Engineer
Educational Qualification
Candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institute. Recognized institutions include those recognized by AICTE, established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, or deemed universities under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
Additionally, Sections A & B examination of the Institution of Engineers (India), considered equivalent to a degree by the Government of India and recognized by AICTE, will also be accepted.
Experience Requirements
A minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience is mandatory. Out of these, at least 5 years must be in program/project management related to Water Supply/Sanitation Treatment Plant (WSS/STP)/Underground Drainage (UGD).
Note: Internships, training, academic, fellowship, or PhD research experiences are not counted towards post-qualification experience. Experience is calculated as of 18-03-2026.
