Eligibility Criteria

Essential Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess an ITI Certificate in Cutting & Tailoring or Sewing Technology from a Government-recognized Industrial Training Institute (ITI). Additionally, applicants should have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience working as a Tailor in a Government, Semi-Government Institution, PSU, or Autonomous Body.

Physical Fitness & Health Standards

Selection Process

Step 1: Written Test

The written exam will carry a total of 50 marks with multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The exam pattern is as follows:

  • Total Questions: 100
  • Marks per Question: 0.5
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer
  • Question Level: Class 10th standard

Candidates will be called for the TPT in a ratio of four times the number of total vacancies in each category. All candidates with the same score will be called irrespective of the ranking order.

The TPT carries 50 marks, and final merit will be based on the combined score of written test and TPT (out of 100).

Final Merit List

The final ranking combines marks obtained in both the written exam and the TPT. In case of a tie in total marks, the older candidate will be ranked higher. If the tie persists even after considering age, the candidate’s overall percentage in the written exam will be used for final ranking.
