Selection Process

The selection process is solely based on a written examination, without any interview component. The steps include:

  1. Written Examination: Two papers covering:
    • General Studies: 125 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours (Objective Type)
    • Optional Paper: Planning OR Remote Sensing & GIS (Specialization in Urban & Regional Studies), 125 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours (Objective Type)
  2. Minimum Qualifying Marks: UR – 40%, BC – 36.5%, EBC – 34%, SC/ST/Women/PwBD – 32%
  3. Post-Examination: Document verification based on merit list
  4. Tie-breaker criteria: Higher marks in the optional paper, older age, then alphabetical order in Devanagari script
