Project Description

This research aims to explore methods of enhancing heat transfer in jet-impingement systems by modifying the main jet flow. Key activities include detailed flow visualization, velocity measurement, thermal imaging, and the development of real-time machine learning-based control systems to optimize thermal management processes. The outcomes will contribute to innovative cooling solutions applicable in aerospace and industrial thermal systems.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree: First class Post Graduate Degree (M.E./M.Tech./M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Academic Performance: Aggregate marks/GPA as per institutional norms indicating first class performance.
  • Recognition: Degree must be from AICTE-approved or UGC-recognized institutions.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Strong enthusiasm for experimental fluid mechanics and heat transfer research.
  • Hands-on experience with flow visualization techniques, velocity measurement devices such as Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), hot-wire anemometry, thermal imaging, and infrared thermography.
  • Programming proficiency in MATLAB and Python.

  • Previous research work in fluid mechanics or thermal systems is advantageous.
