1. Project Consultant

This role involves planning, supervising, and managing the herbal garden project, ensuring all activities align with the project objectives.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification & Experience
  • BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) from a recognized university/institution.
  • B.Sc. in Life Sciences from a recognized university/institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in handling projects related to AYUSH system.
  • Well-versed in project management, herbal plants, and Ayurvedic sciences.
Preference Postgraduates, candidates from Ayurveda, Agriculture, or Horticulture backgrounds will be given preference.
Age Limit Not exceeding 40 years as of January 16, 2026.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Planning and developing the herbal garden according to project specifications.
  • Identifying medicinal plants and selecting suitable species for planting.
  • Supervising soil preparation, plantation, watering, fertilization, and pest management.
  • Monitoring plant health, growth, and survival; recommending corrective actions.
  • Coordinating with staff, gardeners, and project officials for smooth operations.
  • Maintaining detailed records of plant species, garden activities, and ongoing projects.
  • Advising on procurement of necessary materials such as seeds, plants, fertilizers, and tools.

2. Mali (Skilled)

  • Experience in fieldwork involving garden maintenance is desirable.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist in routine garden maintenance activities such as watering, weed removal, and debris clearance.
  • Support plantation operations including digging pits, transporting plants and materials.
  • Help in soil preparation, composting, and basic land leveling.
  • Participate in collection and disposal of garden waste and debris.
  • Assist skilled gardeners and supervisors with daily operational tasks.
  • Support in maintaining cleanliness of the garden pathways and surrounding areas.
  • Ensure maintenance of tools and equipment after use.
  • Any other duties assigned by the project supervisor or authority.

Terms and Conditions

  • Initial appointment duration will be two months, extendable based on project requirements and funding.
  • Preference will be given to local candidates and those already working in similar departments.
  • Work will be on full-time basis, six days a week, including holidays if necessary, without additional compensation.
  • Appointees must comply with all institute rules and undertake confidentiality and data protection obligations.
  • Selected candidates must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before joining.
  • Salary will be paid as consolidated and as specified in the respective post descriptions.
