Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

Applicants must have completed their medical degree (MBBS) as per the standards set by the National Medical Council Act, 2019. They must possess a valid permanent registration from any State Medical Council, NMC, or MCI. Postgraduate degree holders recognized by the State Medical Council, NBE, or NMC are also eligible to apply.

Internship Completion

Only candidates who have completed their internship on or before 31 July 2025 are eligible to apply for these positions.

Selection Procedure

Step 1: Shortlisting

Applications will be scrutinized based on submissions and eligibility criteria. Candidates will be shortlisted according to their NEET PG scores/percentiles, converted into a “calculated NEET PG marks” out of 200 to ensure standardized evaluation:

  • Percentile scores are converted into marks by multiplying by two.
  • Candidates with absolute NEET PG scores will have their merit calculated based on their ranking and converted accordingly.

Step 2: Interview Process

Shortlisted candidates will be called for a viva-voce/interview in March 2026 at the Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi Cantt. The interview panel will assess their suitability, clinical knowledge, and overall merit for the SSC Medical Officer role.

Travel & Accommodation for Interview

Candidates appearing for their first interview will receive a reimbursement of fare (AC III/AC Chair Car for rail, or government non-AC bus fare). If residing within the municipal limit of Delhi, no travel allowance will be provided.
