Eligibility Criteria for Applicants

Educational Qualifications

The minimum educational requirements differ based on the discipline:

Engineering / Technology Branches (Information Technology & Metallurgical Engineering)

Candidates must possess:

  • B.E/B.Tech/B.S. and M.E/M.Tech/M.S. or integrated M.Tech in relevant branches with First Class or equivalent grade.
  • Alternatively, candidates with a Ph.D. after Bachelor’s degree from recognized institutions of national importance, along with GATE qualification, are also eligible.

Science & Humanities Disciplines (Chemistry & Physics)

Candidates should have:

  • Master’s Degree in relevant discipline with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories).
  • NET/JET qualification or Ph.D. as per UGC regulations 2009/2016.
  • Note: A relaxation of 5% marks is granted for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwD candidates.
  • Additional 5% relaxation is applicable for Ph.D. holders who obtained their Master’s degree before 19 September 1991.
