Eligibility Criteria

Teaching Posts

1. Professor of Law (Regular)

Educational Qualifications: As per UGC Regulations 2018 for Professor of Law.

Experience: As prescribed under UGC Regulations 2018; relevant teaching/research experience required.

Publications & API: Candidates must upload the prescribed API Score Form and provide copies of all publications (cover page, copyright, ISSN/ISBN, authorial page) in hard copy.

2. Assistant Professor of Law (Contractual)

Educational Qualifications: As per UGC Regulations 2018 for Assistant Professor of Law.

Experience: Teaching or research experience as defined under UGC Regulations 2018.

Publications: Documentation of research papers/publications in hard copy.

Contract Period: Initially for 1 year, extendable at the discretion of the University.

Non-Teaching Posts

1. Registrar (Tenure Basis)

Essential Qualification: Should be an academic in law not below the rank of a Professor.

API & Publications: Must fill and upload the prescribed API Score form and submit copies of all publications in hard copy.

Tenure: 5 years or until reaching 62 years of age, whichever is earlier.

2. Assistant Registrar (Regular)

Educational Qualification: Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade B in UGC seven-point scale.

Experience: Either 5 years in a supervisory role (Section Officer/Superintendent/PA) in Universities/Government or 3 years of teaching experience in UGC-approved institutions.

Computer Knowledge: Good working knowledge of computer applications is mandatory.

Age Limit: No upper age limit (subject to superannuation).

Desirable: M.Tech, M.Phil, Ph.D., or M.B.A. in Technical Education; familiarity with Himachal Pradesh customs and manners is preferable.

3. Driver-cum-Office Attendant

Educational Qualification: 10th Pass.

Driving License: Valid Light Vehicle or Heavy Vehicle Driving License.

Language Skills: Knowledge of Hindi essential.

Experience: Preferably 2 years of driving experience.

Age Limit: 18 to 45 years (relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Freedom Fighters’ descendants).

4. Electrician, Plumber, Carpenter (Regular)

Selection Process

The selection procedure involves multiple stages to assess candidates’ suitability:

Salary & Service Conditions

Professor of Law (Regular)

The selected candidates will be paid in accordance with UGC Academic Level 14 pay scale, along with relevant allowances and benefits as per university rules and Regulations 2018.

Assistant Professor of Law (Contractual)

The contractual appointee will receive ₹70,000 per month on a consolidated basis. The appointment is initially for one year and may be extended. Terms and conditions of service are governed by the university’s rules.

Registrar & Assistant Registrar

These positions offer salaries aligned with UGC and HPCS revised pay scales. Benefits include allowances, leave, and other service benefits as per the university policy.

Technical & Support Staff (Electrician, Plumber, Carpenter, Driver)

Emoluments are based on HPCS Revised Pay Rules, with additional allowances applicable as per government norms.
