Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical disciplines such as Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Manufacturing, Railways, Mechatronics, or Automobile Engineering. The degree must be recognized by AICTE and obtained from a university incorporated by an Act of Parliament, a central/state legislature, or declared a Deemed University under UGC Act, 1956. Sections A & B examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India) are also accepted as equivalent qualifications.

For UR/EWS candidates (and SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD applying against unreserved posts), a minimum of 60% marks or first-class degree is required. Reserved candidates should have at least 50% marks.

In cases where percentage or class is not explicitly mentioned, candidates must provide a conversion formula or an undertaking from their university to verify their academic standing.

Minimum Post-Qualification Experience

Applicants should have a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience after completing their degree, with expertise in the following areas:

  • Designing and optimizing bulk material handling systems such as conveyors, stackers, reclaimers, ship loaders/unloaders, silos, wagon tipplers, and rapid loading systems.
  • Developing process flow diagrams, capacity calculations, and conducting optimization and process improvement studies.
  • Managing project lifecycle activities from feasibility analysis, detailed design, procurement, to commissioning.
  • Cost estimation, budgeting, and lifecycle cost analysis of CAPEX and OPEX components.

Note: Experience gained during training, internships, teaching, academic research, or fellowships will not count towards the minimum experience requirement.
