Position Overview

The CSIR NIScPR is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to serve as a Consultant for Canteen Management. This contractual role is positioned at CSIR NIScPR’s headquarters in New Delhi and is designed to leverage the experience of retired canteen managers to streamline and oversee the institute’s canteen operations.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibility Description
Records Maintenance Maintain mandatory records including Cash Book, Bill Book, Preparation Register, Stock Register, and Sales Register.
Hygiene & Sanitation Ensure all hygiene records are kept up to date, including Crockery Register, Utensils Register, and Material Register, adhering to safety standards.
Operational Supervision Oversee daily canteen operations, ensuring quality service, cleanliness, and compliance with all relevant standards and government guidelines.
Compliance & Standards Ensure that all canteen activities meet established standards and adhere to applicable policies, regulations, and safety protocols.
Staff Coordination If applicable, supervise and coordinate any assisting staff, maintaining a smooth workflow and high service standards.
Reporting & Feedback Provide regular reports on canteen operations and implement improvements based on feedback.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational & Professional Qualifications

Applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Retired employees of CSIR / Central Government / Central Autonomous Bodies (CAB)
  • Must have served as a Canteen Manager during their tenure
  • Possess a valid Pension Payment Order (PPO)

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for applicants is 64 years and 6 months as on 16th February 2026. Age will be calculated based on the date of application submission.

Remuneration & Benefits

The remuneration will be aligned with government rules and norms and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Key points include:

Leave Entitlements As per Department of Expenditure OM dated 09/12/2020 or subsequent guidelines.

Working Conditions & Hours
