Eligibility Criteria and Qualifications
Position: Project Associate-II (Position Code A)
Essential Qualification:
Master’s Degree or Integrated Master’s in Transportation Engineering or Highway Engineering from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in Transport Planning or Environment fields.
- Knowledge of data analysis and statistical software tools.
Age Limit:
Maximum 35 years as on the date of interview.
Salary:
- Rs 35,000 + HRA for candidates who have qualified CSIR UGC / ICAR / ICMR NET (including lectureship/assistant professorship) or GATE or similar national exams conducted by Central Government Departments.
- Rs 28,000 + HRA for candidates without such qualifications.
Position: Principal Project Associate (Position Code B)
Essential Qualification:
Master’s Degree or Integrated Master’s in Transportation Engineering or Highway Engineering from a recognized university.
Experience Requirement:
A minimum of 3 years of research experience in R&D within Industrial, Academic, or Scientific organizations.
Desirable Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in Transport Planning, Environment, GIS, vehicle emissions, or simulation techniques.

Salary:
- Rs 49,000 + HRA
Important Information and Conditions
- This engagement is purely on a temporary project basis and does not guarantee permanent employment within CSIR or CRRI afterward.
- Total cumulative engagement period across all CSIR projects shall not exceed 6 years for any candidate.
- Only candidates currently pursuing PhD or higher degrees should bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their institute.
- Candidates must not be related to any current CSIR or CRRI personnel as per rules relating to relatives.
