Consultant (Administration)

The candidate must be a retired official from Level – 8 (as per 7th CPC) or above from Central Government Service or Central Autonomous bodies. The candidate should possess experience in the following fields:

  • General Administration
  • Government Financial Rules (GFR)
  • FRSR (Financial Rules and Standard Regulations)
  • RTI (Right to Information)
  • GeM (Government e-Marketplace)
  • CCS (Conduct) Rules
  • Purchase & Stores Management
  • Legal Matters

Consultant (Establishment)

The eligible candidate must be a retired official from Level – 8 (as per 7th CPC) or above from Central Government Service or Central Autonomous bodies. Their experience should cover:

  • Establishment and Employee Management
  • Rules Related to Recruitment and Employee Promotions
  • MACP (Modified Assured Career Progression)
  • Pay Fixation
  • General Financial Rules (GFR)
  • FRSR (Financial Rules and Standard Regulations)

Consultant (Finance & Accounts)

The candidate should be a retired official from Level – 8 (as per 7th CPC) or above from Central Government Service or Central Autonomous bodies, with experience in:

  • General Financial Rules (GFR)
  • Preparation of Annual Financial Statements
  • Accounting Procedures
  • PFMS (Public Financial Management System)
  • Handling Audits

Remuneration and Salary Structure

The selected consultants will receive a fixed monthly remuneration, which will remain unchanged throughout the contract period. The calculation of remuneration differs based on the candidate’s pension status:

Retired employees drawing pension Basic pension (before commuting) deducted from the pay drawn in the Pay Matrix at the time of retirement, plus applicable Transport Allowance (TA) including DA on TA.
Retired employees not drawing pension 50% of the Basic Pay drawn at retirement plus applicable TA including DA on TA.

Note: No House Rent Allowance (HRA) or other allowances will be provided during the contract. However, TA/DA for official tours will be reimbursed as per entitlement at the time of retirement.

Age Limit and Other Conditions

Age Limit

The maximum age allowed for applicants is 65 years, subject to the candidate’s functional requirements, past performance, and medical fitness.

Other Conditions & Important Information

  • The engagement is purely contractual; it does not entitle the candidate to regular appointment.
  • The initial engagement period is one year, extendable up to a maximum age of 65 years based on performance and organizational needs.
  • Retired employees will continue to receive pension and Dearness Relief during the consultancy period.
  • Paid leave allowance: 1.5 days per completed month; accumulation beyond the contract period is not permitted.
  • Ms. / Mr. The candidate must observe normal office hours and may need to attend on holidays in urgent cases. Attendance is mandatory.
  • All applicable taxes, including TDS, will be deducted as per rules, with certificates issued accordingly.
  • The selected consultant must hand over all records and documents related to the assignment before contract expiry.
  • The Indian Museum reserves the right to cancel this recruitment process or reject any applications at any stage without assigning reasons.
  • Other employment terms will adhere to Government of India guidelines.
