Eligibility Criteria
Qualification for Clerk
Candidates applying for the Clerk post must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (BA) or Science (BSc) or an equivalent qualification recognized by a university. Additionally, they must have passed the matriculation examination with Hindi as one of the subjects.
Qualification for Stenographer Grade III
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (BA) or Science (BSc) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university. They should also have passed a shorthand test at a speed of 80 words per minute (w.p.m.) in English and a transcription at 20 w.p.m. in the same language. Proficiency in computer skills, including Word Processing and Spreadsheet applications, is also required.
Salary and Stipend

Selection Process
For Clerk Posts
Candidates must undergo a written examination comprising two papers:
- English Composition – 50 marks (minimum qualifying marks: 33%)
- General Knowledge – 50 marks (minimum qualifying marks: 33%)
To be considered for appointment, candidates must score at least 40% in total in the written exam and demonstrate proficiency in computer operation (Word and Spreadsheet). A computer typing test at 30 w.p.m. is also mandatory.
For Stenographer Grade-III Posts
The selection involves:
- Passing a shorthand test at 80 w.p.m. in English
- Transcribing the shorthand text at 20 w.p.m.
- Proficiency in computer applications (Word Processing and Spreadsheets), which is only a qualifying requirement and not counted towards merit
The final merit will be based on the shorthand and transcription test performance, with the computer proficiency test being qualifying only.
Additional Selection Rules
The recruitment will be conducted following the amended Rule 7 of the Haryana Subordinate Courts Establishment (Recruitment and General Conditions of Service) Rules, 1997, and related provisions.
