Position Overview

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess an MBBS degree from a recognized institute registered with Medical Council of India (MCI), National Medical Commission (NMC), or a State Medical Council (SMC).

Registration

Valid registration with a recognized State Medical Council, Indian Medical Council, or the National Medical Commission is mandatory. Candidates must carry proof of registration at the time of interview.

Work Experience

Experience in clinical practice or hospital settings relevant to medical emergencies and outpatient care is preferred but not mandatory. Fresh MBBS graduates are also eligible if they fulfill other criteria.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be an Indian citizen
  • Must have the requisite qualification from an approved institution
  • Candidates who are ex-employees of SAIL (up to E-7 grade) with a valid self-certificate of separation are eligible for re-engagement

Salary and Benefits

Remuneration Details Rs 90,000/- per month
Payment Basis Minimum 8 hours/day, 6 days/week (48 hours), pro-rated for less than 8 hours/day
Additional Benefits
  • No HRA will be admissible
  • Post-paid SIM and mobile expenses (Rs 350/month)
  • Medical benefits for ex-employees as per SAIL rules; for others, medical care at DSP hospital for self and spouse
  • Leave entitlement of 10 days per year with prior approval
  • Company accommodation (if available, paid basis; rent and utilities applicable)
  • Maternity leave as per statutory provisions

Tenure and Engagement Details

Initial Duration

The initial engagement period is one (1) year, with possible extension for an additional year, subject to performance and organizational requirements. The maximum total period of engagement shall not exceed three (3) years. Re-engagement is possible without restrictions.

Extension and Termination

Extensions are contingent upon satisfactory performance and organizational needs. Engagement can be terminated with a one-month notice from either party. Immediate termination may occur under circumstances such as medical unfitness, misconduct, unfavorable licensing status, or poor performance.

  • The healthcare professional is expected to serve beyond normal hours in case of exigencies.
  • Asset management: Proper usage and return of company assets post-engagement
  • Engagement does not confer any claim for permanent appointment, gratuity, PF, or other benefits unless explicitly mentioned.
