Eligibility Criteria for Candidates

Educational Qualifications

Selection Process Explained

Step-by-Step Selection Procedure

  1. Application Scrutiny: All received applications will be scrutinized by a Screening Committee to shortlist eligible candidates.

Employment Conditions and Tenure

Terms of Engagement

The engagement of Young Professionals is temporary, initially for a period of two years, with possible extensions of one year at a time, up to a maximum total of five years (2+1+1+1). Their continuation depends on satisfactory annual performance reviews and project requirements.

Performance Review & Pay Increment

Remuneration reviews occur annually, based on performance. Enhancements can be up to 10% per year, with an overall cap at 1.35 times the initial salary. Exceptional performance, such as significant contributions, publications, or policy development, can attract higher incremental benefits.

Additional Guidelines

  • The engagement is of a fixed-term nature without continued employment guarantees.
  • Remuneration increases are performance-based and subject to approval.
  • Young Professionals are not entitled to benefits like medical allowances, HRA, etc., unless explicitly mentioned.

Leave Policy and Official Absence Guidelines

  • Each Young Professional is entitled to 1.5 days of leave per completed month, on a pro-rata basis.
  • Unavailed leave cannot be carried forward beyond a calendar year.
  • Absences up to one month may be considered without pay, subject to approval.
  • Additional leave for professional development or training may be granted at the discretion of the Director, SRTMI.

Taxation & Legal Status

Taxes such as Income Tax, GST, or other deductibles will be deducted at source as per prevailing rules. SRTMI will provide TDS certificates. The Young Professional is responsible for their own tax liabilities.

Police verification of candidates is mandatory. If verification results are negative, the engagement will be immediately terminated without prior notice.

Upon joining, a preliminary induction training (not paid) of three days may be conducted.

The Young Professional will be considered an independent consultant and not a staff or official of SRTMI. The employment relationship is contractual, with no employer-employee relationship established.
