Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

All applicants must possess educational qualifications as per the guidelines issued by the National Medical Commission (NMC) dated 30.06.2025. The qualifications vary depending on the specific post and specialty, but generally include MBBS, MD/MS/DNB degrees or equivalent in relevant specialties. Age Limit

The upper age limit as of the interview date is specified below:

  • Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor: Not exceeding 69 years.
  • Senior Resident: 45 years; for departments like Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic Medicine, and Community Medicine, the age limit is extended to 50 years.

Age relaxation will be provided as per Government of India norms, applicable to reserved category candidates and other eligible groups.

Reservation and Certificates

Reservations are applied as per Government of India guidelines for categories such as SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, and Ex-Servicemen. All candidates must submit valid certificates in the prescribed central government format, issued on or after 01.04.2025, to avail reservation benefits.

  • EWS candidates need an EWS certificate as per Annexure-I of DoPT OM No. 36039/1/2019-Estt(Res) dated 31.01.2019.
  • OBC (NCL) candidates must submit a certificate as per Annexure-I of DoPT OM No. 36036/2/2013-Estt(Res) dated 30.05.2014.
  • PwD candidates need proper disability certificates in the prescribed format.

Reservation norms follow the DoPT reservation roster, and posts are earmarked accordingly. If suitable reserved-category candidates are unavailable, remaining posts may be filled from the general pool after due process.

Salary Structure and Remuneration

Salary Details

  • Professor: Rs. 1,23,100/- per month (Level 13 of 7th CPC), with allowances as per ESIC HQ rules.
  • Associate Professor: Rs. 78,800/- per month (Level 12 of 7th CPC), with allowances.
  • Assistant Professor: Rs. 67,700/- per month (Level 11 of 7th CPC), with allowances.
  • Senior Resident: Rs. 67,700/- per month (Level 11 of 7th CPC), with allowances.

Retired employees engaged purely on a contractual basis may also draw pension and dearness relief during their tenure, as per CCS re-employed pensioner orders 1986.

Important Notes and Additional Instructions

General Information

This is contractual recruitment for an initial period of one year, renewable annually based on performance up to a maximum of three years or until a regular appointment is made. Engagements are purely contractual, and there are no claims for pension, gratuity, PF, or other regular benefits.

Vacancies include reserved seats for PwD and Ex-servicemen. If suitable candidates from reserved categories are not available, posts may be filled from the general pool, and reservation benefits may be carried forward as per rules.

The maximum age for engagement is 70 years, subject to other applicable norms. Candidates must adhere to attendance policies, including biometric attendance registration and physical presence requirements.

Private practice during tenure is prohibited. Candidates are required to sign a non-judicial stamp paper agreement with the Dean and execute all formalities as directed.
