Eligibility Criteria for Applicants
Educational Qualifications
Applicants must possess the specified educational qualifications in their respective trades/disciplines recognized by the relevant authorities as of the closing date for applications (15th January 2026).
- Graduate Apprentices: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or IT recognized by AICTE.
- Diploma Apprentices: 3-year Polytechnic diploma in Engineering in relevant branches recognized by AICTE or State Boards.
- ITI Apprentices: Matriculation + ITI in relevant trades recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
Additional Eligibility Conditions
- Candidates should be within the age limit of 18 to 30 years (as on 15/01/2026). Relaxations are applicable as per government norms.
- Applicants must be domicile of Himachal Pradesh.
- Those who have already undergone apprenticeship training in SJVN or are registered/trained under BOAT or NAPS schemes are not eligible.
- Candidates with pending results or awaiting results are not eligible to apply.
- Previous training or job experience exceeding one year disqualifies candidates for apprenticeship.
- If there is a gap of more than five years between result declaration and training commencement, applicants will be considered ineligible.
