Eligibility Criteria

For Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Chairperson and Members

The candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Educational Qualification: Degree in child psychology, psychiatry, law, social work, sociology, health sciences, education, human development, medicine, or special education from a recognized Indian university.
  • Residency: Must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh.
  • Experience: Minimum of seven years of working with children in health, education, or welfare sectors, or practicing professionals with relevant degrees. Candidates with a proven record in child welfare and a child-friendly attitude are preferred.
  • Additional Desirable Qualities: Unblemished service record, commitment to child welfare, and a capacity for empathetic and ethical service delivery.

For Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) Social Worker Members

Remuneration and Tenure

This is a position based on tenure, and these posts are not permanent government jobs. The selected candidates will receive honorarium or sitting allowances as fixed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The duration of the appointment is three years from the date of appointment, with a possibility of up to two terms in total, subject to meeting performance-based criteria.
