Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

Candidates should possess one of the following degrees with a minimum of 55% marks:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in a 4-year program
  • B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy)
  • MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery)
  • BVSc (Bachelor of Veterinary Science)
  • Integrated BS-MS
  • M.Sc
  • B.E/B.Tech (Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology) or equivalent

Along with academic qualifications, passing the National Eligibility Test (NET) or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is mandatory.

Desirable Qualifications

Candidates with the following experience will have an edge:

  • Proficiency in basic microbiological techniques and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
  • Experience in cell culture and virus propagation
  • Knowledge of viral passaging and standardization of multiplicity of infection (MOI)
  • Skills in molecular diagnostic techniques

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for candidates is 28 years as of the interview date. Age relaxation up to 5 years is applicable for categories including women, SC/ST/OBC, and physically handicapped candidates, complying with governmental norms.

Selection Procedure

The selection process involves a walk-in written examination, followed by a personal interview for candidates shortlisted based on their test performance and eligibility documentation.
