- The Selection Board shall start the recruitment process by conducting the physical measurement.Candidates only qualifying in the physical measurement shall proceed to the next stage i.e. Driving test, Written test and Physical efficiency test.
- The written examination shall be preferably in Optical Mask Reader (OMR) format.
- The candidates shall appear practical in driving which is of qualifying in nature.
- The candidates not appearing in the written test shall be disqualified.
- After qualifying the Written Examination & Driving Test, the candidates will go through other qualifying tests i.e Physical Efficiency Test/ Medical Examination/ Other Valid Certificates or Documents.
Odisha Police Driver Written Test Syllabus 2022
I. Driver
(A) Theory Test :
- Road Signal
- Lubrication system of vehicle
- Cooling system of vehicle
- Main vital parts, spares, component of vehicles
(B) Practical Test :
- Driving of light vehicles by marching, reverse, gear change, controlling of clutch, accelerator and brake.
- Road Signal.
II. Driver Havildar
(A) Theory Test.
- Maintenance of different kinds of vehicles.
- Tyre rotation and its pressure (4 wheels & 6 wheels)
- Application of lubricants in vehicles and different components.
- Rectification of minor defects in road (fuel line and electrical line).
- Adjustment and bleeding of brakes.
- Maintenance of Motor Cycles.
- Knowledge regarding use of tyres in Police vehicles.
(B) Practical Test :
- Driving of heavy vehicles, Motors Cycles, and Cars etc.
- Knowledge of the road signal
- Identification of lubricants
- Knowledge regarding spare parts
III. Driver Havildar Major
(A) Theory Test.
- Functions of different parts of vehicles
- Prevention of maintenance of vehicles/tyres
- Type of lubricant to be used in vehicles
- Different type of brake system and prevention of air lock
- Fixing of timing in petrol vehicles
- Knowledge of ignition system and transmission
- Knowledge in gear and operation system
- Maintenance of different kinds of vehicles.
(B) Practical Test
- To fix timing checking other defects in the engine
- Starting and tunning of the engine
- To assess knowledge in the spare parts tools and equipment
IV Motor Transport Sub-Inspector
(A) Theory Test.
- Knowledge regarding engine and transmission system
- Maintenance of different kind of vehicles
- Lubrication of vehicle
- Repair of break system
- Repair of ignition charging and light system
- Knowledge regarding different parts of vehicle and its functioning
- How to maintain records of MT section
- How to storage the POL
(B) Practical Test
- Fixation of timing in petrol/diesel vehicles
- Starting/testing of vehicles on road
- Rectification of defects of carburetor, distributor, fuel pump and master cylinder.
- Testing of Battery
- Identification of special tools and equipment
Odisha Police Driver Physical Efficiency Test 2022
Run
If 1.6 kilometers is covered within –
- (i) 5 minutes, 10 Marks
- (ii) 5.30 minutes, 7 Marks
- (iii) 6 minutes, 4 Marks
- (iv) beyond 7 Minutes, the candidate shall be disqualified.
High Jump (3 Chances)
Qualifying height 1.22 Meters is cleared in—
- If Cleared in 3 Chances 5 marks.
- Not able to clear the candidates shall be disqualified.
Swimming
If 40 Meters is covered—
- Within 8 Minutes, the candidate shall be qualified
- Beyond 8 Minutes, the candidate shall be disqualified.
